About Stravaig
Why “Stravaig”?
Stravaig is a Scots word meaning to wander or roam. For us, it means wandering with purpose: being open to possibilities while thoughtfully choosing where you want to go.
That idea is at the heart of Stravaig Educational Consulting: students should be able to look beyond the university options they already know and consider where else their education might take them.
Why I Started Stravaig
I came to understand international higher education through my own graduate studies and realized how rarely studying abroad is presented to American students as a realistic full-degree option.
As a teacher and a parent, I saw how much information students receive about U.S. colleges, while international universities are often treated as unusual, complicated, or out of reach.
I wanted to make that path easier to understand and help students see that geography does not have to limit their university choices.
